It is cycling. It has numerous benefits. If you want to reduce that waist line then this one of the best exercise for you. You can take one ride or twice daily as per your requirement. You should start slowly and then increase your speed. Starting slow, helps to warm up your body and thus, helps you to reduce those extra flabs fast. Does it have any side effects???? Yes, the only side effects are long life, happiness, reduced weight and stress. So keeping all these things in mind let’s see the benefits of cycling.

1. Starting with the heart, cycling improves cardiovascular fitness and in turn decreases coronary diseases. A study reported a 50%
reduction in fatal and non-fatal heart disease in civil servants who cycled over 20 miles/week.

2. If the ratio of HDL(good)/LDL(bad) is high it means the body has excess of cholesterol or excess is building up in body esp. in arteries and tissues. This leads to arthrosclerosis (hardening of arteries take place. But cycling improves HDL (good cholesterol) and helps in preventing from such diseases.

3. Lower part of the body such as calves, thighs, and rear end gets toned and there is also essential building of muscles. Also improves muscle strength. Good for arthritis too.

4. As it involves the whole body activity thus, it improves a greater coordination between arm to leg, feet to hands, body to eye.

5. Strengthens the immunity system and can also help in protecting against certain kinds of cancer. So, isn’t it really good?

6. Improves mental health. Helps in reducing stress, depressions, anxiety and elevates the mood. Hence you are happy!!! J

7. Helps in reducing lot of calories. You can find the desired slimmest waist that you have always wanted. Cycling increases calorie consumption and raises the metabolic rate, which can help to lose weight.

 8. Diseases such as diabetes, arthritis, cardio diseases, hypertension, cancer, cholecystectomy (surgical removal of the gallbladder) can be prevented or reduced. Benefits in pregnancy and improves the respiratory muscles.

9 Last but not the least, it increases the longevity. In Denmark, a 15-year study associates cycling with a 40% reduction in mortality for both sexes over all ages (Archives of Internal Medicine, 2000).

Cycling is the third most popular recreational activity in the UK. An estimated 3.1 million people ride a bicycle each month. Cycling is one of the easiest ways to fit exercise into your daily routine because it's also a form of transport. It saves you money, gets you fit and is good for the environment. It's a low-impact type of exercise, so it's easier on your joints than running or other high-impact aerobic activities. But it still helps you get into shape. Cycling can also give you a high fitness level. The average daily cyclist has the fitness level of someone 10 years younger. Cycling is great fun but you need to have all the important equipments in hand before you start rolling. Don’t forget to have your knee pads, elbow pads, head gear.
