Easy Eye Make-Up Tips

Your eyes are one of the first features people notice. But the skin around them can age faster than that on other parts of the body, so it's important to treat it with TLC. Under eye skin is
among the thinnest on your face and vulnerable to damage. Every time we make an expression, we crinkle our skin, and "temporary creases can become wrinkles. Here's how to smooth things over and put all eyes on you.

1. Crow's Feet:

Crows' feet are small wrinkles which appear around the eye, classically starting at the outer corner of the eye.The most important thing to differentiate are smile lines and crows feet. When you smile, you’ll see small lines going from the corners of your eyes out toward your temple. When you stop smiling, if the lines go away, those are simply smile lines. If the lines stay, those are crows feet. Many people in their mid-30’s starting to see small lines that don’t go away. The three S’s: Smiling, Squinting and Sleeping, listed in the order of problem-causing. Smiling is the biggest instigator of crows feet, then squinting, then sleeping.Smoking is also a risk factor, because smokers tend to squint to protect their eyes from the irritants in the smoke. These wrinkles also tend to appear more rapidly in people with indifferent skincare regimens.

Conceal Them: Powders and heavy creams accentuate lines.Instead, use a sheer concealer with pearly pigments to diffuse wrinkles and, rather than rubbing, dab it on. "This creates a soft, natural edge.

Correct Them: Docs' favorite ingredient for fighting lines is retinol, which increases firmness. The eye area is sensitive, so "apply the cream only around the bone of your socket," says Brooke Jackson, MD, a dermatologist .Dab it on to boost absorption. Prevent creases by wearing sunscreen for sensitive skin and sunglasses daily.

2.Dark Circles:

Periorbital dark circles are dark blemishes around the eyes.Your shiners, your raccoon eyes, your blue luggage... whatever you call your dark under-eye circles, here's what they really are: oxidizing hemoglobin.
Dark under-eye circles begin in the capillaries, the tiny blood vessels that web the delicate skin around the eyes. Now, your capillaries are so small that red blood cells sometimes have to line up, single file, to get through. Frequently, red blood cells get lost and wander into the surrounding skin. This isn't a problem - it happens all the time - and your body has a mechanism to mop up these escapees. Enzymes in your body break down the red blood cells, including their hemoglobin (the molecule that gives them their distinctive red color).
No problem, right? Except for one thing: when hemoglobin is broken down, its remaining components have a dark blue-black color. Just like a bruise. So your dark under-eye circles are actually caused by leaky capillaries.
Some other reasons of the raccoon eyes include inadequate sleep, allergies, balanced nutrition, nasal congestion (A blocked nose can result in dark circles under your eyes because the veins around your sinuses are darkened and dilated),smoking habit (Smoking causes vascular (blood vessel) problems that can not only threaten your life, but also make your blood vessels appear more prominent and bluer)

Conceal Them: To camouflage raccoon eyes, apply a corrector in a peachy pink first and then follow with your usual cover-up and blend. "The peach tones will cancel out the blue undertones of shadows for a youthful, healthy look

Correct Them: Dark circles have many causes, including allergies, irritation, and fatigue. Address those problems and the shadows should disappear. In the meantime, try a cream with kojic acid, a botanical skin lightener that can help spots fade.

3.Under Eye Bags:

Periorbital puffiness, also known as "puffy eyes" or swelling around the eyes, refers to the appearance of swelling in the tissues around the eyes, called the orbits.Puffiness under the eyes is a common symptom of allergies, lack of sleep, stress, and poor diet. Eyes will become puffy when the skin around the eyes becomes irritated and itchy. People who consume large amounts of alcohol and sodium before bed may wake up with puffy eyes due to water retention. Stress may cause your skin and eyes, as well as other parts of the body, to weaken and become susceptible to problems such as swelling.

Some other causes of puffy eyes include thyroid problems, ageing, nutrition, tiredness, smoking and secondary smoke, allergies, the way you sleep.

Conceal Them: Instead of covering up puffiness, which can result in a cakey look, use a concealer brush to apply a skin-matching, matte cream concealer on the dark ring below the pillowy part. This helps minimize bags. Then blend tinted moisturizer underneath your eyes to even out the skin tone.

Correct Them: Send bags packing by using a caffeine-laced cream. Caffeine soothes puffiness and decreases swelling. At night, sleep on an extra pillow to prevent fluid buildup. Still have bags in the a.m.? Place a chilled teaspoon under each eye to deflate it.

4.Two Minutes To Beautiful Eyes:

Step 1
Curl your lashes with an Eyelash Curler , pinching them three times -- at the roots, in the middle, and on the tips.

Step 2
Beiges can be blah, but taupe shades add depth. Swipe in Satin Taupe eye shadow across your lids, extending it just above the crease. The color brings out golden flecks in green and hazel eyes, enhances the richness in brown eyes, and warms up blue eyes.

Step 3
Trace your upper and lower rims with a bronzy, dark brown pencil,  concentrating on the outer corners.

Step 4Highlight the inner corners and your brow bone .

Step 5Finish with two coats of black mascara.

5. For Glass Beauties:

Try these tricks if you are wearing glasses. These tricks will open up your eyes.

  • Having those windows of plastic between you and the world means you need to add oomph. Layer on a little extra eyeliner and a deep-toned shadow.
  • A bit of additional mascara at the base of lashes will make your fringe look thicker, diverting attention from your frames to your eyes.
  • It's important to emphasize your arches because they tend to peek over the frames. Groom strays with a brush and define sparse areas with gel.
  • Ask your optometrist to add an antiglare coating to your lenses. It will help your eyes pop.

Until next, Stay Gorgeous!
xoxo
