Sunscreen when apllied in the correct way can save you from looking older. The correct applications protects you from harmful rays of sun and also makes you look younger.
Here are some tips to use the sunscreen to maximize its benefits:
- Use a sunscreen that has a SPF or Sun Protection Factor of at
least 15 and regardless of what SPF you use it's always a good idea to
reapply sunscreen every 2 hours if you're going to be continually exposed
to the sun for long periods of time .
- It's recommend to use an SPF of at least 30 if you're planning on
staying outside in the sun much longer than 2 hours .
- Always apply sunscreen on your body about 30 minutes before going
outside and for even extra protection against the sun & to make you
look even younger…
- Use a sunscreen that has antioxidants like Vitamin C & E and
pomegranate extract in it to help neutralize the damage caused by UV
light.
- No matter how high the SPF of a sunscreen is or even if it's a
waterproof sunscreen… you should still reapply sunscreen every 2 hours
since rubbing, touching, swimming and sweating will all eventually wear
away sunscreen …
- Make sure you use sunscreen all over your body meaning you put
sunscreen on your ears, head, hands, and feet.
- You should also use a lip balm with sun protection for your lips.
- If you're wearing Cotton clothes you'll still need to use sunscreen
because cotton clothes have a SPF of less than 15.
- Make sure you check the expiration date of the sunscreen you are
using and make sure that you don't store your sunscreen in heat because
this will weaken the SPF of the sunscreen.
- Make sure you use a higher SPF sunscreen than you usually use if
you're going to be using bug replant since it reduces the power of your
current sunscreen .
- Make extra sure you use sunscreen if you're white or fair skinned,
have blond or red hair, blue or green eyes because you are at a higher
risk of early aging due to sun damage .
- Make sure your sunscreen protects you against both UVA & UVB
rays by looking for the term broad spectrum on the labels.
In addition to wearing sunscreen…
- Try to stay out of the sun during peak times between 10 a.m. to 4
p.m. and also…
- Wear hats for extra sun protection for your head and face and…
- Wear sunglasses that offer true 100% UV ray protection and just
because your sunglasses are dark does not mean they will protect you
against the sun and…
- It's better to use a Self Tanner instead of
tanning beds because tanning beds cause just as much damage as the sun.
XOXO
